What We Do

About Us

ThermBright unpowered Thermal Targets depict a more realistic view as a target than do conventional heated targets. This means that specific shapes can be used to simulate different types of targets thus giving a more realistic live-fire experience.

Our range of ThermBright targets are extremely versatile. This means our targets can be used for all types of surveillance and target acquisition (STA) systems. This includes image intensifiers, thermal and fusion imagers.

MJ Services (GB) Ltd. was founded in 2004 by Michael Jarvill, a retired British Army Major. It was through his own personal military experience that he saw a need for a better performing thermal target for live fire training. In May 2024 GB Services(GB) Ltd was replaced by ThermBright Ltd, run by Chris Newman who has been manufacturing the ThermBright targets through his company Vivid Signs for almost 20 years.

ThermBright has distinct emphasis on supporting night operations. This coupled with an excellent record as a supplier to the UK MoD and US Army, has led ThermBright to three major product areas:

iso9001 Certified

ThermBright Ltd has a solid reputation for quality products, efficiency, experience and technical support. Most importantly we have been dedicated to the quality of both our products and the services we provide to all our customers since the company began.

As proof of this ThermBright Ltd has been accredited with and works to, the internationally recognised BS EN ISO 9001:2015 standard.

However an ISO Certificate is not for all time; it must be maintained and renewed at regular intervals. LRQA carry out surveillance visits throughout the year and a full certificate renewal every three years. This ensures that ThermBright Ltd continues to maintain a high standard quality management system.

Unpowered and passive thermal targets & recognition systems.

ThermBright Ltd are able to provide a target design service. To help provide training ranges with the targets they need for any scenario.

ThermBright Ltd endeavours to anticipate the future needs of the UK armed forces and is therefore able to provide sample targets of all kinds at no cost and without obligation for evaluation purposes.

Cyber Essentials Certification

Thermbright Ltd. has acquired the Cyber Essentials certification. Cyber Essentials is a government-backed, industry supported scheme, which helps prevent the vast majority of cyber attacks. The UK government now requires all of its contractors that handle sensitive data to hold a Cyber Essentials certificate to prove they are secure.
Having a Cyber Essentials badge allows us to

  • Protect our organisation against common cyber threats.
  • Show our customers we take this issue seriously.
  • Enable us to bid for UK Government contracts.
